The research center of the college was established according to the decision of the scientific council in its ninth session held on 6/2/1397 H corresponding to 25/1/1977. The scientific activity of research centers in the university jumped after the successful step of establishing the Deanship of Scientific Research at the university in 1419H.
The Board of Directors of the Center shall be composed of representatives of the College Departments nominated by the Dean of the College and appointed by the Rector for a period of two years. The Director of the Center shall be appointed, who shall manage the Center and chair the meetings of the Board of Directors. :

- Approval of faculty research projects with disbursement it.
- Approval of research projects supported by outside the university.
- Approval of projects for postgraduate students.
- Preparation of annual report and final account.
